In-Person Arrival Time: 10:15–10:30am
Come together on the UUCD grounds for an outdoor Celebration of Remembrance and worship enjoying the beauty of the brilliant pistache trees.* We’ll create an altar. Bring a memento or photo to represent someone from your life who has died, and you wish to honor.
Our worship will be more structured than previous outdoor programs. When you arrive, you’ll be invited to sit at one of three accessible outdoor worship locations on campus. One third of the worship service will be presented at each place. As a part of the morning together, enjoy a short homily, interactive readings, Sparks Choir, and Cellist, Steve Millington from Sacramento.
*If there is inclement weather, AQI is over 100, or COVID rates increase, we will cancel the in-person experience and see everyone on Zoom. Online participants will experience the worship stations virtually starting at 10:30.
Guest Musician, Steve Millington, is the founder and manager of Millington Strings. He received his Master’s in Cello Performance at CSUS in 1997.
