As Unitarian Universalists, we uphold progressive values and believe in the inherent worth and dignity of all people, especially when it comes to fighting for justice. We proudly display progressive pride flags and consider ourselves welcoming. However, we need to ask ourselves if we are truly creating a spiritual home that is welcoming. Do we need to know every intimate detail about someone to invite them into a loving and affirming brave space? Reverend Christe Lunsford will share part of their journey and explore the concept of “welcome.” They may also share their impressions around how UUCD, as a community, can shift our culture to be expansively inclusive to those who are seeking.
