Prayer is not a one-sided reciting of requests for divine help. Prayer is a conversation with whatever has spiritual importance for you. It is a nurturing of your relationship with that spiritual importance. And it is a two-way exchange where you need to do deep listening to hear the other half of the conversation. It isn’t easy, but it can bring spiritual revitalizing and reconnection, often, in surprising ways.
