Online: Why an 8th Principle?

Go to https://mpuuc.org for Jan. 23 worship (and workshop) link

Paula Cole Jones will speak on the 8th Principle (Use this One-Time Worship Link), a proposed addition to Unitarian Universalism’s seven faith principles. Come hear a bit of history, context, and why we would want to covenant to build the Beloved Community free from racism and oppression. The 8th Principle reads: “We, the member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenant to affirm and promote journeying toward spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.”

The January 23 Offering will benefit DRUUMM.

Workshop, January 23, 1-4pm, with Paula Cole Jones: Join the Board and Uniting for Racial Justice Committee after the service to hear how our church might build a culture of inclusion. UUCD, Mission Peak UU Church and other UU regional churches are sponsoring this free mini-workshop. Bring a friend. Go to https://mpuuc.org for Jan. 23 workshop link.
