UUCD’s fire circle is open for use when the regional CA State Parks allow campfires.

In order to be Fire Keeper, you must agree to ALL terms below. *

• 1. I am an adult, over age 21
• 2. I understand that I forfeit my Fire Circle Deposit if I fail to complete this entire list.
• 3. I will bring a mobile phone and keep the following numbers at the end of this list on-hand.
• 4. I will not use any controlled substances while acting as Fire Keeper (no alcohol, cannabis, etc.)
• 5. I will prepare the fire circle for use by: locating the hose and sprinkler, shovel, and coals bucket near the fire circle area.
• 6. Prior to the fire, I will use the hose and sprinkler to wet the ground for at least 20 feet surrounding the Fire Pit.
• 7. If conditions become unsafe I will cancel planned use of the fire circle, or extinguish the fire. Conditions may include: high winds, or Cal Fire issues a “Red Flag Warning” or a “Fire Weather Watch” for our area.
• 8. During the fire circle use: I WILL NOT leave the fire unattended. I will keep the hose, shovel, and coals bucket at hand before, during, and after fire circle use.
• 9. At the end of our event, I will FULLY EXTINGUISH the fire and DROWN THE COALS by filling the brick fire ring to the brim with water.
• 10. I will TEXT the Fire Contact a photo of the Brick Fire Ring Filled with Water.
• 11. BEFORE LEAVING THE SITE: I will EMPTY THE FIRE RING OF COALS (shovel into the coal bucket and replace the bucket lid).
• 12. I will CALL the Fire Contact to confirm that all steps have been taken.
