This Sunday features our annual Bridging Ceremony. This ritual is shared by Unitarian Universalists and recognizes the many transitions our youth come into as the enter Junior High, on to High School, and then beyond. The congregation will be asked to participate in this recognition for our youth. Alison Luck, who experienced bridging at UUCD, will offer a reflection, and we’ll hear from other young adults in our congregation as well as past and present leaders of our youth programs. We all have been at moments of transition when we know we’re stepping forward to something new and exciting, even if we don’t know exactly what it will be. It’s especially important to acknowledge those moments in a supportive community.
