Tasty Theology: Belonging        Theology/Spirituality

Wednesdays, October 2, 16, 30, 6:45-8:30 pm, Library

Led by Rev. Beth Banks

Each week a surprising pairing of theology and sample tastes. Sessions are designed for those new to Unitarian Universalism and those who are longtime, active UUs. We’ll unpack one piece of theology and apply it to our lives. Participants will have time to write and reflect.  The theology comes alive as we discuss it. Advance sign-ups required.

Oct 2, The Jewish Days of Awe––UUism has roots in Christian and Jewish heritage. This session is inspired by the ten days between the Jewish High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Oct 16, Our Earth––This season, our congregation has several opportunities to hear theology that supports environmental justice. Oct 16, we’ll engage with the message of For the Beauty of the Earth, hymn #21.

Oct 30, Remembrance––We’ll reflect on those we admire who have died and, in some way, helped us identify the unique gift that is ours to give the world. When we give and receive, we experience belonging. We’ll create an altar of remembrance.
