In the church community, we recognize the moments of change in our lives with rituals. In the Unitarian Universalist tradition one of these rituals is Coming of Age, when 9th graders affirm their “Credo” or “I believe” statement after a special time of learning and reflection. We will hear credo statements from Mara Nittner, Billy Range, and Anna Reichenbach. Another ritual is “Bridging” which acknowledges our youth as they cross the bridge from elementary, to junior high, to high school, to young adulthood. This service will celebrate our youth on this bridge, and invite us all to reflect on the spiritual grounding of such moments in our lives.
