Guest at Your Table is UUSC’s annual intergenerational program to raise support for and awareness about our work to advance human rights. This year’s theme is Defying Hate, based on the Ken Burns documentary about UUSC founders Martha and Waitstill Sharp, Defying the Nazis: The Sharps’ War (PBS). The Sharps helped Jews and dissidents escape Nazi Germany. Their story is one of courage and hope. Learn more about the Sharps and UUSC’s beginnings. The original idea was to put enough money in the box each time you eat to cover feeding a “guest,” but you decide what’s right for your household. Then, write a check for the total collected in your box on Dec. 4, when we Deck the Halls for the winter holiday season. Make checks out to UUCD, memo “UUSC.” Or, write “UUSC Membership” in the memo to join UUSC’s mailing list.
